• Giving ANYONE access to your Yuku user account is grounds for being banned from the site. This means the person behind the character is banned and will not be allowed to create any new characters. Period, end of story.

  • Dueling will be allowed ON A PRE-APPROVAL BASIS. This means that you MUST obtain permission for the duel prior to the duel beginning AND it must be supervised by one of the Professors.

    The only people allowed to approve a duel are:

    • Headmistress
    • Deputy Headmistress
    • Keeper of the Keys
    • Gryffindor House Head
    • Hufflepuff House Head
    • Ravenclaw House Head
    • Slytherin House Head



    Note: The exception to this is the Dueling Club which is currently governed by its own set of guidelines.

  • Profanity is now limited to the words "hell," "damn," and "bloody." Implied swears in the form of symbols (ie. - #%&@) is not permitted.

  • OOC is to be kept to the OOC topics NOT in Roleplay topics.

  • No drugs. No alcohol. No suicides - attempted or otherwise. This includes includes IC as well as OOC posting. Please remember that while we have relaxed some of the rules, this is still a family-oriented site.

  • Be respectful to everyone. Someday that "peon" may become your senior. Hey, that "peon" might even be one of your professor's alter egos. Either way, it's just civilized. Don't be a rude caveman.

  • NO admin jumping. What is admin jumping? It involves asking one Admin (person who runs the board) getting a disfavorable response and asking another. Another aspect of this is lying to one admin about what another says. We do talk, and get very, very irritated about this. Please do not do it.

  • Don't flame. Flaming is when you post something with the sole purpose of putting someone down or hurting them. We don't want that kind of thing on our site and it will not be tolerated. Your post will be promptly deleted and a warning will be sent. Points will also be taken from your house.

  • Don't create a superhero character. You aren't the strongest/smartest/whatever wizard of all time. You also did not defeat Voldemort; furthermore, you aren't Voldemort. We encourage creative characters and of course your character will be very good at some things, but not everything. Make your character balanced; super-hero characters make for dull role-playing.

  • Please try and stick to the spirit of the books. You can't just magically morph into an elf or suddenly be teleported into some different world etc. Remember, most of you are students.

  • Remember, you control only YOUR character. You cannot post that someone else's character did something or said something without having that player's permission beforehand. This includes impersonating another character!!

    • correct- John asked Helen to come along and awaited her response.
    • wrong- John asked Helen to come along. Helen replied with a yes.

  • You cannot be anyone from the books, their child, their parent, OR related to them.

  • No d00dsp34k or internet speak (U NO WHO U R). Adding L33+ 5P34|< since some don't consider it d00dsp34k.

  • No harassing people IC or OOC.

  • No posting ICQ, AIM or Email's of Students. If you want to give someone that information, PM it to their private account or display it on your user profile.

  • NO WHINING!!!!!!! If you have a problem or suggestion, we are open to hear it, including suggested solutions to problems.

  • Parties, other than in your common room, need to be approved by your house head.

  • No gangs, clubs or weapons allowed.

  • Posting URLs to other sites is not allowed. If you wish to allow access to other sites, you must PM the information to the Headmaster for review. If we feel the site is in line with what we're about, a link will be added to our Links page.

  • You are not allowed to find a dead body or kill/maim another character.

  • Only humans allowed (for character race). Also, please keep your hair color, eyes, etc. within the bounds of normal human variation - i.e. no green hair, orange eyes, etc.

  • You do not have, nor will you find or create magical artifacts. Absolutely NO invisibility cloaks!

  • You cannot "outspell" a professor. The professor's word is ALWAYS final.

  • You are not allowed to have Potter anywhere in your character's name, nor are you related to him in anyway. This school takes place in the 1960s.

  • It is highly suggested that you review all of our rules on our Sorting Hat forum for more current updates. There, you will also find the "special phrase" that is required within your application.

  • Most importantly, be creative and have fun.
